OT4OT has stimulated the imagination of the online community of occupational therapists, who have embraced the movement and have developed a suite of occupational therapy related groups on Facebook. These groups all have the suffix 4OT and are all connected to the overall OT4OT movement but are self-sustaining and regulating.
Many of the groups relate to areas of clinical practice, such as MH4OT (Mental Health4OT) or Pain4OT but others take a more theoretical stance such as OS4OT (Occupational Science4OT). The OT4OT Facebook group originally began life as Online Technology4OT, however given the growing profile of the movement it has become a more general meeting space and funnel for helping OTs to connect and find the best resources for their needs.
Volunteers from the group administrators are currently working on guidance for new and existing groups to help with setting up, moderating and creating a strong network. We hope to have these soon - please watch this space! If you would like to set up a 4OT group, please do contact us.
